In fact, they’re practically everywhere, lurking in the shadows of poorly managed developments, clinging to the coat-tails of a site’s self-appointed “Dictator” (you know, that one resident who thinks they’re the king or queen of the estate). But what exactly is a “Yes Agent”? Well, dear reader, allow me to enlighten you........

    A “Yes Agent” is a property manager’s worst nightmare but a certain type of director’s dream come true. Why? Because they’ll agree to anything. Need to skirt around some pesky health and safety legislation? “Yes!” Want to hire your cousin’s mate’s dog to fix the roof? “Absolutely, yes!” Fancy pretending service charges are just a suggestion? “YES, YES, AND YES!”

    But wait, there’s more! Let’s break it down further:

    1. Qualifications? Never Heard of ‘Em!

    A “Yes Agent” is often distinguished by their complete and utter lack of qualifications. While professionals like those at Anthony James Property Management are proudly Tier 2 IFSM qualified and Level 4 TPI accredited (just saying), these agents wouldn’t know a TPI from a T-Rex. Why bother learning about property law, fire safety regulations, or effective financial management when you can just wing it?

    Why bother with democratic principles like consulting all leaseholders or ensuring fair representation? The “Yes Agent” thrives under a one-person regime. The Dictator rules, and the “Yes Agent” obeys. It's a match made in property management purgatory.
